Why we're building something different

There is a lot of talk about women supporting women.

And we love that.

But we wanted to create a space where it wasn't just something we said.

It was something we actually did.

Because building a business can be lonely.

Creating something from scratch can be lonely.

Being the person responsible for every decision, every idea, every invoice, every post, and every next step can be really lonely.

And sometimes you don't need another business tip.

You just need someone who understands.

WE DON'T HAVE TO COMPETE FOR THE SAME TABLE.

There is room for more than one photographer.

More than one makeup artist.

More than one designer.

More than one stylist.

More than one creative.

Someone else's success doesn't take away from yours.

In fact, someone else's success can be the thing that reminds you what's possible.

That's the kind of environment we're interested in creating.

COLLABORATION CHANGES THINGS.

Imagine meeting someone at a Mused event and six months later you're working together.

Or referring each other clients.

Or creating something neither of you would have thought of alone.

Or becoming friends.

Those connections are valuable.

But they don't happen when everyone is looking around the room wondering who they need to impress.

They happen when people feel comfortable enough to connect.

We're interested in the real version.
